Our Award-Winning Patio Vegetable Breeding project aims to produce tasty new F1 varieties, some of which have been bred to have good disease tolerance. All of the varieties have been selected on the basis of their growing performance in the garden, containers, pots and hanging baskets.

Compact: With an upright plant habit and short internodes, these varieties produce many, very tasty, cherry sized fruits. Aimed at specialist plant raisers and growers for impulse pot sales to garden centres. 'Bitonto F1' is our leading variety in this category.

Trailing: Heavy cropping and good for growing in medium sized containers, growbags and hanging baskets. Aimed at the traditional plant market for sale to the home gardener, these varieties also work well in table top cultures for pick your own and farm gate sales. We have a number of varieties in this category, including 'Lizzano F1', 'Losetto F1' and 'Fantastico F1', (known as 'Romello F1' in Europe.)

Taller and semi-determinate: With a more upright but still determinate habit that is good for growing in medium sized containers, growbags and in a garden or open field situation (with some support) these varieties are aimed at the traditional plant market for sale to home gardeners. 'Siderno F1' is our premier variety in this category.
