Pro-Veg takes a keen interest in developing those areas of plant breeding that are not well - supported by the larger seed companies, who can only justify breeding for their largest and most profitable markets.

Pro-Veg specialises in the legume market (sadly now neglected by most breeders) and, together with Syngenta, supports the growers and retailers requirements for new garden, snap and snow peas, plus broad and dwarf beans.

Pro-Veg offers our own broad bean varieties and are also working on breeding new small fresh - market types. Pro-Veg also has a successful breeding programme of "patio vegetables", most notably on tomatoes, two varieties of which have recently achieved All-American Selection (AAS) awards.
